Until our Welcome message comes back, I felt it prudent to also put on the front page a reminder that we are a *selective* archive. This means a couple of things:

First, it means that we don't archive everything we're sent. Even if it was "well-received elsewhere." Most betas only go after sentence-level concerns. We also look at higher-order issues (characterization, continuity, plot, etc.).  We also reserve the right to refuse to archive anything we feel runs contrary to the spirit in which this website was founded. It's our dime. We can do that.

Second, it means that we're committed to bringing you the very best Enterprise fanlit we can get our hands on, in the hopes of giving every visitor the best reading experience possible, regardless of what category, 'ship, or genre you're into. Our minimum quality standard means that you won't have to sift through a bunch of Mary Sues or other disasters in order to get to what you want.
